Power Quality Improvement using Solar Fed Multilevel Inverter Based STATCOM

The major goal about suggested technique is to use a PSO-based proportional-integral (PI) controller towards enhance power quality performance three-phase grid-connected inverter system. An approach like aforementioned tries stabilize output current & voltage, lower harmonics, lessen DC link input voltage fluctuation. Through reducing error regulator schemes in system, particle swarm optimization (PSO) was used adjust PI settings. When compared conventional approach, simulation results show certain optimal parameters created among PSO produces better index results. According various research, reactive supply can only modestly reduce sags while totally mitigating harmonics using specialized devices. Effective dependable PV solar farm inverters as STATCOMs required guarantee generating units stay connected grid during system abnormal circumstances.
